Next Meeting - August 5, 2009
Our next meeting is August 5, 2009 in the cafeteria at 7:30 pm. Enjoy the summer, and once again THANK YOU for all of your hard work this year.

Rock n Bowl
This is one of our favorite events with the wives. On Saturday August 1, 2009 we will have a night out at Rock n Bowl. We made reservations for sixty people. A flier will be posted on the web site and sent home through school. For more information e-mail George O'Neil.

EDDY AWARDS
STEAM is very proud to announce that STEAM members Ted Zada and Larry Whitcomb received the Eddy awards for their outstanding service to St. Edward the Confessor Parish.

Zephyr's Game
Everyone enjoyed themselves at the ole ball game and saw your New Orleans Zephyrs win a thriller. The food was fantastic and plentiful for our tailgate party. We would especially like to thank our chefs, the cleanup crew, and George O'Neil for organizing the event.

Last Day Swim Party
We prayed very hard, and the rain never showed up. We would like to thank Lazaro Seoane for making this happen with Green Acres. The children always have a blast playing with their friends by the pool.

Dear New Members and Prospective Members

The board members of Steam would like to invite you to the next Steam meeting to see what the organization is all about.

Steam is a fun organization of dads and men in the parish that want to lend a helping hand toward improving the school and parish.

Specifically, we hold monthly meetings where we discuss upcoming projects, fundraisers, and parties. Our meetings are a great opportunity to learn how you can help the school and parish directly.

The social after every meeting is a great way to meet other members and make new friends. The meetings/socials are a lot of fun and a great way to spend an evening away from your regular routine.

In addition to monthly meetings, we host a number of fundraisers, special projects, and parties. The organization is strictly voluntary, meaning you participate as you can and want.

Here's a sample of what we have planned for this year:

- Grill Your Own Steak Night

- Dances and Parties
